Desert View Elementary houses special spaces throughout our school that recognize the dedication and love that Desert View staff have for the scholars and community.

One such space is the Ruth Olivas Nature Center and Garden, named for a fifth grade teacher who left a lasting impact on our Desert View community. The Hazel Gutierrez Amphitheater, which was recently upgraded with a shade structure, honors a kindergarten assistant who touched the lives of countless families. Terry Valenti was a custodian who was dedicated to serving Desert View Elementary by continually improving our campus, and he is memorialized through an atrium in the main hall.
